San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts

Located near the heart of downtown San Angelo and overlooking the beautiful Concho River, the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts has three spacious galleries two with dramatic 40-foot ceilings and there is also a large rooftop sculpture terrace with a beautiful view of the city. We have a gift shop with unique items and works of art created by regional artists and craftspeople.

Hours: Tuesday - Saturday 10 am - 4 pm
              Sunday 1 pm - 4 pm

Closed on Mondays, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Day

There's something for everyone! You will be surprised and delighted with the wide range of attractions and activities available in San Angelo. Come by and visit us on the beautiful Concho River and see what San Angelo has in store for you!

Fort Concho National Historic Landmark

Established in 1867, along the banks of the Concho River, Fort Concho was built to protect frontier settlements, patrol and map the vast West Texas region, and quell hostile threats in the area. The old frontier army post is now a historic preservation project and museum which is owned and operated by the City of San Angelo, Texas.

Hours: Monday - Saturday 9 am to 5 pm
              Sunday 1 pm to 5 pm
              Guided Tours Available

Love Municipal Pool

Love Municipal Pool will offer free admission and a luau party during the first two hours of its summer season when it opens Saturday, May 28.

Those who enter the pool from noon to 2 p.m. will receive free leis, snacks and other goodies. After 2 p.m., regular admission will be charged: $5 for ages 3 and older; free for children 2 and younger; $3 for seniors 65 and older. Season passes cost $75 per person or $200 for a family of four ($25 for each additional family member over four).

The pool at 18 E. Avenue A will be open to the public from noon to 6 p.m. through Memorial Day on Monday, May 30, during the opening weekend. The pool will be open for public swimming from noon to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Sundays through Labor Day. It will be closed every Monday after Memorial Day for maintenance.

Lap swimming is available from 7 a.m.-9 a.m. Tuesdays through Fridays, beginning May 31.

Registration for swim lessons continues with limited spaces still available. Registration and the purchase of season passes are available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays in the Recreation offices in Santa Fe Crossing, 702 S. Chadbourne St.

Railway Museum of San Angelo

10:00 AM - 04:00 PM

The Historic Orient-Santa Fe Depot built and opened by the Kansas City, Mexico, and Orient Railway of Texas in 1910. Stop by and see what a real working railway looked like in the height of it's day and learn about its history along the way.

Concho Valley Farmer's Market

The Concho Valley Farmer's Market will be open on Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays from 7:00 am to sell-out. Located at 609 S. Oakes Street and includes vendors from a 75-mile radius around San Angelo. Across from Fort Concho. For more information, contact Margie Jackson at 325-245-3338. Market open thru freeze.

Memorial Day at Fort Concho

09:00 AM - 05:00 PM

Join us on the eastern end of the Fort Concho Parade Ground near the Headquarters Building at 9:00 am for a program to honor the men and women who have given their lives to defend our nation. The program is co-sponsored by Fort Concho and the local chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. The event is free to the public. After the event ends, the fort will be open from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm for the rest of the holiday. (Regular Admission Charges)
