San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts

Located near the heart of downtown San Angelo and overlooking the beautiful Concho River, the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts has three spacious galleries two with dramatic 40-foot ceilings and there is also a large rooftop sculpture terrace with a beautiful view of the city. We have a gift shop with unique items and works of art created by regional artists and craftspeople.

Hours: Tuesday - Saturday 11 am - 4 pm
              Sunday 1 pm - 4 pm

Closed on Mondays, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Day

Fort Concho National Historic Landmark

Established in 1867, along the banks of the Concho River, Fort Concho was built to protect frontier settlements, patrol and map the vast West Texas region, and quell hostile threats in the area. The old frontier army post is now a historic preservation project and museum which is owned and operated by the City of San Angelo, Texas.

Hours: Monday - Saturday 9 am to 5 pm
              Sunday 1 pm to 5 pm
              Guided Tours Available

Art Thursdays TO GO

The San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts is happy to Introduce Art Thursday...TO-GO! Safely drive through the museum’s parking lot and pick up Art Thursday Packets To-Go. Two, printable activities and additional supplies will be included for FREE each Thursday* this summer from 3 – 6 pm, or until supplies run out. SAMFA staff will safely and hygienically hand packets to you from the safety of your car window. SAMFA Staff will also be wearing masks and gloves at all times, as well as follow social distancing guidelines in order to optimize the safety of Participants and Museum Staff.

Concho Valley Farmer's Market

The Concho Valley Farmer's Market will be open on Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays from 7:00 am to sell-out (around noon). Located at 609 S. Oakes Street and includes vendors from a 75-mile radius around San Angelo. Across from Fort Concho. For more information, contact Margie Jackson at 325-245-3338. Market open thru freeze.
